    Slope-intercept form is y=mx+b, so we simply have to solve for y ...

    3y+5x=-15 subtract 5x from both sides

    3y=-5x-15 divide both sides by 3

    y=-5x/3-5 or more neatly in my opinion ...

    y = (-5x-15) / 3
