    Rate is miles/gallons

    132/11=12 mile pser 1 galon

    ratio and propeortion

    132/11=252/xgalons

    12/1=252/x

    multiply both sides by x

    12x=252

    divide both sides by 12

    x=21

    21 gallons

    132/11=12per gallon'

    12*11=132

    252/12=21

    21*12=252
