Using all the letters in the alphabet how many two letter codes can we form if we are allowed to use the same letter twice?

    There are 26 possible choices for the 1st letter in the code.

    There are also 26 choices for the 2nd letter in the code.

    ---> 26*26 = 676 total possible two-letter codes
