The alamo is basically the signification of courage against unbeatable odds. The battle itself was only 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes) but the siege itself was a total of 13 days. General Antonio Lopez and his troops held out even with how outnumbered they were.

The battle of the Alamo is a long-recognized symbol of bravery in the face of unbeatable odds. Although the battle itself lasted only 90 minutes, it was the culmination of a 13-day siege by General Antonio López de Santa Anna's troops against the outnumbered inhabitants of the fort.
