A hot air balloon went from an elevation of 4,294 feet to an elevation of 3,412 feet in 36 minutes. What was its rate of descent?

    The hot air balloon traveled 882 feet in 36 minutes. To find out the number of ft/min, we divide 882 by 36. 882/36=24.5

    So, the hot air balloon descended 24.5 ft/min
