    Density is defined as the mass per unit volume

    we have been given a sample with known density and mass

    we have to find the volume

    Density = mass / volume

    we have to find the volume

    exchange density and volume and make volume the subject of the formula

    volume = mass / density

    substituting the values

    volume = 0.451 g / 0.824 g/mL

    volume = 0.547 mL

    volume of the sample is 0.547 mL
