y = 6x + 12

y = 2x - 4

    True. In the ordered pair - 4 is x while - 12 is y. Now that you know this you can substitute the pair into the equations.

    6*-4 is - 24. - 24 + 12 equals - 12. - 12=6*-4+12. Same for the second one.
