How do you solve 4*-6=22

    I'm assuming that * means "x"

    4x-6=22

    4x=28 (add 6 to each side)

    You divide 28 by 4x

    28:4x=7

    x=7

    Add 6 to both sides and you get 4x=28 then divide 4 on both sides to get the x alone and you get, x=7
