Hannah is running in a race that is 1 mile long. After running 1/2 of a mile Hannah stops for water. She then runs another 1/5 of a mile before stopping to tie her shoe. How much more of the race does Hannah need to complete after stopping to tie her shoe?

    There is 3/10 of the race to go.

    1/2 converts to 5/10. 1/5 converts to 2/10.

    If you add those together you get 7/10, meaning that she is 7/10 of the way through the race and there is 3/10 to go.
