Using the ratio of perfect squares method, what is the square root of 96 rounded to the nearest hundredth? Use the ratio of perfect squares method.

    (49) ^2 / (50) ^2 = 0.96

    49/50 = sqrt (0.96) = 0.98

    Therefore sqrt (96) = 9.80 to the nearest hundredth
