The summers family has completed 35 miles of a road trip. The family wants to drive at least 245 miles by the end of the day. Mr. summers plans to travel at a speed of 60 miles per hour for the rest of the trip. The inequality 60h + 35 greater than equal to 245 represents the number of hours h, the family plans to drive. What we need to do here is just to isolate h:

    60h + 35 > = 245

Subtract 35 from bot sides of the inequation:

    60h > = 210

Then divide both sides by 60

    h > = 3.5

So they will need to drive at least 3 and a half hours.
