How do i write 2 (y+5x) in expanded form

    Answer: 2Y + 10X

    You have to multiply the number outside of the parenthesis by both inside the parenthesis then add up those two results. So 2xY = 2Y and 2x5X = 10X, finally the answer is 2Y+10X.
