    Number of boys in 7th grade=34 boys

    Number of girls in 7th grade=51 girls

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Total Number of students in 7th grade=Number of boys+Number of girls

    where;

    Total number of students in 7th grade=85 students

    Number of boys=x

    Number of girls = (1 1/2) * Number of boys = (3/2) * x=1.5x

    Replacing;

    85=x+1.5x

    2.5x=85

    x=85/2.5

    x=34

    Number of boys=x=34

    Number of girls=1.5x=1.5*34=51

    Number of boys in 7th grade=34 boys

    Number of girls in 7th grade=51 girls
