    Each employee earned $126.25.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Each employee earned:

Regular pay: $8.75 per hour for 8 hours

Overtime pay: ($8.75 + $2.50) per hour for 5 hours

    The overtime pay rate is ($8.75 + $2.50) / hour = $11.25/hour

    Amount earned:

regular pay for 8 hours plus overtime pay for 5 hours =

    = $8.75 * 8 + $11.25 * 5

    = $70.00 + $56.25

    = $126.25
