How do you decide which variable to isolate in order to use the substitution method to solve a system of linear equations?

    Find a variable with no coefficient. If there is more than one variable with no coefficient, it dose not matter which one you isolate. Isolate the variable and then use substitution to solve the system of equations.

    Typically you isolate variable i, because slope-intercept form is y = bx + c, and makes graphing easier
