    Genotype is the genetic composition of an organism. Alleles are the alternative forms of a gene, they can either be dominant alleles (masks the other allele) or recessive alleles (masked by the dominant allele when present). Autosomal dominant and the autosomal recessive are the most common inheritance patterns.
