4 1/5 = 21/5
so, the equation would be:
21/5 - 7/10
Steps
you have to make the denominator the same
so ... the least common denominator (LCD) : 10
21 * 2/10 - 7/10
= 42/10 - 7/10
= 35/10
Then simplify,
= 7/2
