Are two lines with the same slope and different y intercept perpendicular sometimes true?

    I don't believe so, last time i checked for two lines to be perpendicular they needed to have opposite reciprocal slopes.

    For Example

    If one line has a slope of 5

    The second line has to have a slope of - 1/5
