Ramon is having some friends over after a baseball game. Ramon's job is to make a vegetables dip. The ingredients for the recipe are given 3/4 cup parsley, 1/3 cup dill, 6/8 cup scallions, 5/8 cup buttermilk, 1/2 cup cream cheese, 1/16 cup lemon juice. Ramon says that he needs the same amount of two different ingredients. Is he correct? Support your answer with information from the problem

    you need to find the lowest common denominator (lcd) for each fraction.

    you can already rule out 1/16 because no other fraction would be the same as 1/16 because the denominator is too big and cannot simplify to anything else.

    you can also rule out 1/3 bc same thing no other number can be the same like trust me

    so now the lcd is 8 bc 2 goes in 8, 4 goes in 8, and 8 goes in 8. convert all of the remaining fractions with a denominator of 8. so 3/4 turns into 6/8, 6/8 stays the same, 5/8 stays the same, 1/2 turns into 4/8. so there was a repeat of 6/8 so yes he is right.
