We will round the 23 miles up to 24.

    24:4 = 6

    6 miles in one hour.

    6:2 = 3

Approximately 3 miles in a half an hour. Or 30 minutes

It says approximate. Take it to 24 miles in 4 hours. This means that he has travelled 6 miles per hour. This means he travels approximately 3 miles in 30 minutes
