If James can swim 10 laps in 23 minutes, what would be his expected time for 15 laps?

    You can use a proportion.

    10 laps is to 23 minutes as 15 laps is to x minutes

    10/23 = 15/x

    10x = 15 * 23

    10x = 345

    x = 34.5

    Answer: 34.5 minutes
