A copy was made of Sally's autograph. The copy resize the photo so that it measures 4 inches wide by 7 inches long. If the actual painting is 16 inches wide, what is it's length?

    The ratio of width to length will be the same so

    4/7 = 16/l

    l = (7*16) / 4 = 7 * 4 = 28

    length = 28 inches
