    The formula of a perimeter of rectangle: P = 2l + 2w.

    We have:

    P = 28.8 cm

    l = 2w

    Substitute:

    2 (2w) + 2w = 28.8

    4w + 2w = 28.8

    6w = 28.8 |:6

    w = 4.8 cm

    l = 2w = 2 (4.8) = 9.6 cm

    Answer: l = 9.6 cm and w = 4.8 cm.
