    You want to first open up the parenthesis, by multiplying five by all of the items inside of the parenthesis.

    Therefore, it's:

    22 - 10x + 20

    And then you can move the numbers to simplify it, keeping the symbol before it:

    22 + 20 - 10x

    And then solve as much as you can:

    42 - 10x

    And that's how you simplify it.
