If a meteor hits the Earth and forms a crater that measures 10 miles in diameter, what is the area of the crater formed?

    Area = π • r^2

    Diameter = 10 : 2

    Radius = 5

    Area = π • 5^2

    Area = 25π

    Answer is Area = 25π

    or 25 • π = 78.54 = Area
