Jonathan sets a camera on a tripod to film birds in a nest. The camera is 1.8 m off the ground and 16.4 m away from the tree. The angle of elevation from the camera to the bird's nest is 29°.     Tan29° = (n-1.8) / 16.4

    n=16.4tan29°+1.8

    n≈10.9 meters (to nearest tenth of a meter)

    the other one is?

    tan (29°) = ?/16.4

    16.4tan (29°) = ?

    and the height of the nest is?+height of camera=?+1.8

    so

    16.4tan (29°) + 1.8≈10.8907

    so about 10.9m
