X=2.
First add - 2x to the x on the other side to get 3x, now you have 3x + 2 = + 8. Then subtract the 2 from 8 now you should have 3x=6. Then divide 3 by 6 and should look like 6/3=2 and 2 would be your answer and would look like X=2
