    In a rectangle, we know that 2 sides are equal and another 2 sides are equal, and the perimeter formula is 2 x length + 2 x width.

    Therefore,

    We can make the width the variable "X". The length is 3X-8.

    Therefore,

    2 (X) + 2 (3X-8) = 64;

    2X+6X-16=64;

    8x=80;

    X=10

    So, the width is 10 and the length is 22
