The length of a rectangle is 4 cm longer than its width. find its width given its area is 24cm2.

    L = 4+w

    l * w = 24

    (4+w) * w = 24

    4w+w^2-24 = 0

    (1) w=3.29

    (2) w=-7.29 (reject)

    => The width is 3.29
