No because x=4 and y=-5 and when you plug it in you get 5 (4) + 2 (-5) = 8 20+-10=8 and 10 = does not work so it is not a possible solution.

sub 4 for x and - 5 for y
5 (4) + 2 (-5) = 8
20-10=8
10=8
false
