This is an example of difference of two squares, because 49 is a squared number. Thus, you can write it in the form, (a + b) (a - b).
Thus, [ (x - 3) + 7][ (x - 3) - 7] = 0
(x + 4) (x - 10) = 0
And the zeros are at: x = - 4, 10
