A pair of dice is rolled. What is the probability that the sum of the dice rolled is either an 11 or a 5?

    Rolling an 11:

    n (A) : 6&5, 5&6

    n (A) = 2

    Rolling a 5:

    n (B) : 1&4, 4&1, 3&2, 2&3

    n (B) = 4

    n (A) + n (B) = 4 + 2 = 6
