Jim had 2 liters of milk in the refrigerator. He bought a container of 250 milliliters of milk. What is the total amount of milk Jim now has?

    There are 1000 mL in 1 Liter. Therefore, in 250 mL, there are 250/1000 Liters, namely 0.25 Liters.

    He had 2 to begin with, so now he has 2 + 0.25 Liters then.
