    52 cards in a deck

    4 suits

    1/4 of 52 are hearts

    1/4 of 52=13 cards

probability of getting 1 heart at first is 1/4

one card is taken out and assuming that it is the heart, 13-1=12,52-1=51

    12/51

    multiply

    1/4 times 12/51=3/51=1/17
