On a map, the distance between Jack's Peak and Jill's Hill is 3.75 inches. According to

the scale, 1.5 inches represents 8 miles. How far apart are the destinations?

    Answer: 20 miles

    Because, 1.5 goes into 3.75 2 1/2 times and 8 x 2 1/2 is 20
