    2 5/6

Mrs Quinn has 2 full loaves of bread and 5 pieces of the 1/6 portions of the bread.

    Step-by-step explanation:

Mrs Quinn had 4 loaves of bread

1 loaf was divided into two halves

1/2 was kept in the freezer

3 loaves was divided into 1/6 pieces

    Step 1

How many 1/6 pieces can we find in 3 loaves?

1 loaf of bread = 6 pieces of 1/6 portions of bread

    3 loaves of bread =

    3 * 6 pieces = 18 pieces of 1/6 portions of bread in total.

From the question, her guests ate 7 pieces

    The number of pieces left = 18 - 7

    = 11 pieces left.

    Step 2

We are asked how many loaves of bread does Mrs Quinn have left?

This is calculated by adding up the 11 pieces of 1/6 portions of the bread with the first loaf of bread that she divided into 2

    The total would be

    = 1 loaf + 11 pieces of 1/6 sizes of bread

    = 1 loaf + 11 (1/6)

    = 1 + 11 / 6

    = 1 + 1 5/6

    = 2 5/6

Therefore Mrs Quinn has 2 full loaves of bread and 5 pieces of the 1/6 portions of the bread.
