    Set up the system of equations as

    9 = 2t + 3e

    12.5 = 3t + 4e

    With t representing the number of tacos and e representing the number of enchiladas

    Next use elimination to isolate a variable

    (9 = 2t + 3e) 3

    (12.5 = 3t + 4e) - 2

    27 = 6t + 9e

    -25 = - 6t - 8e

    2 = 0t + e

    2 = e

    Substitute e into an equation to find t

    9 = 2t + 3e

    9 = 2t + 3 (2)

    9 = 2t + 6

    -6 - 6

    3 = 2t

    /2 / 2

    1.5 = t

    Therefor each taco costs $1.50 and each enchilada costs $2.00
