    Find the value of - 6 (-2) ^2 - 4^2 - 3 (-2x^4).

    -6 (-2) ^2 - 4^2 - 3 (-2x^4)

    Multiply - 6 (-2) ^2.

    12^2 - 4^2 - 3 (-2x^4)

    Subtract 12^2 and - 4^2.

    8 - 3 (-2x^4)

    Distribute - 3 (-2x^4).

    8 + 6x^4

    Therefore the value of 6 (-2) ^2 - 4^2 - 3 (-2x^4) is 8 + 6x^4.
