Katy's family got to the beach at 9:55am.

    Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find Katy's family's arrival time at the beach, you need to first add amount the amount of time they spent on each activity. Since there are 60 minutes in one hour, you can add up all the minutes together and then divide by 60 minutes to get the total time in hours:

    55 minutes + 115 minutes (1 hr and 55 min) + 105 minutes (1 hr and 45 minutes) = 275 total minutes

    275 : 60 = 4 hours and 35 minutes

If Katy's family was done with their activities at 2:30pm, we need to subtract 4 hours and 35 minutes from 2:30pm to get their arrival time. 2:30pm - 4 hours = 10:30am, now subtract another 35 minutes to get 9:55am.
