James had 18 pairs of shoes he gave 1/3 of them to his younger brother he gave 4 pairs to his friend Sammy then he split the remaining pairs between goodwill and the Salvation Army how much shoes did he donate to each charity?

    18-6=12

    12-4=8

    8/2=4
