Marsha gave the cashier $20 to pay for 3 pairs of socks. The cashier gave her $5.03 in change. Each pair of socks cost the same amount. What is the cost in dollars and cents for each pair of socks?

    First, 20 - 5.03 which is 14.97

    Then, 14.97 divided by because shes buying 3 pairs of socks

    The answer is: $4.98
