Tricia had 4 1/8 yards of fabric to make curtains. When she finished she had 2 3/8 yards of frabric left. She said she used 2 2/8 yards of fabric for the curtains. do you agree? explain

    Okay. Let's start with the easy bit.

    4 1/8 is 33/8

    2 3/8 is 19/8.

    So 33/8 - 19/8 = 14/8. Simplify and we get 1 6/8, or 1 3/4. This is the amount of fabric used, so I don't agree with what she said.
