    Domain and range: all reals Inverse | Inverse: y = (x+1/2) / 3

    The steps are:

    it is a linear function which means there are no domain or range restrictions;

    the inverse is just the x and the y flipped then you solve for y again

    y=3x-1/2

    x=3y-1/2

    x+1/2=3y

    (x+1/2) / 3=y
