The principal uses a computer to randomly select the name of a student from all the students in the school. with the computer program it is possible to draw the name of the same student twice. if the principal selects the name of a student from the Acer's on the first try what is the probability she will draw the name of another student from the Acer's on the second try?

    You mentioned 'using a computer', so I am assuming that you mean by a program/script which randomly generates a name based on what you entered. In this case it can give the same output again.

    According to the second part of your question, the program/script is run again on another computer. The probability that the same output is shown again depends on the number of students.

    Example if there were 2 students, then the probability would be 1/2 or 50%

    If there were 50 students the probability would be 1/50 or 2%
