There are 36 forks on a table which represents 30% of the pieces of silverware. How many pieces of silverware are on the table?

    silverware*.30 = 36

    divide by. 30 on each side

    silverware = 36/.30

    silverware = 120

    There are 120 pieces of silverware. 36 divided by 30% = 120 then 120 times 30% = 36
