    5 inches : Formula for perimeter of rectangle is P=2 (l + w) let's represent x as the width so the length would be x+6. 32 = 2 (x+x+6) 32=2 (2x+6) 32 = 4x+12 20=4x x = 20:4=5 so the width of the rectangle is 5 inches
