Solve by using elimination 3x-2y=1. 8x+3y=2

    Elminate the y's

    multiiply first euation by 3 and multiply 2nd equation by 2 and ad them

    9x-6y=3

    16x+6y=4 +

    25x+0y=7

    25x=7

    divide both sides by 25

    x=7/25

    sub back

    3x-2y=1

    3 (7/25) - 2y=1

    21/25-2y=1

    note: 1=25/25

    minus 21/25 fromboth sides

    -2y=4/25

    divide both sides by - 2 (or times - 1/2)

    y=4/-50

    y=-2/25

    x=7/25

    y=-2/25

    (-2/25,7/25)
