Melissa and Doug are preparing coolers of drinks to provide for runners at the track meet. They have 54 bottles of Gatorade and 81 bottles of water.

They would like each cooler to have the same number of each type of drink.

What is the greatest number of coolers that they can prepare that uses all of the drinks?

    first divide both numbers by 27, getting 2:3. the answer is putting 2 bottles of Gatorade and 3 bottles of water in every cooler.
