Area of each square = 14 cm²

    length of each square = √14 = 3.74166 cm

    Since the checkers board is 8 squares x 8 squares, length of one side = 8 x length of one square = 8 x 3.74166 = 29.93328 cm

    Perimeter of the checkers board = 4 x 29.93328 = 119.73312 cm = 120 cm
