Solve for X in the following equations

1) 50-4x = 14

2) 6 (3x-2) + 5x = 57

    1.) 50 - 14 = 4x

    x = 50 - 14 divided by 4 = 36/4 = 9.

    x = 9

    2.) 6 (3x) - 12 + 5x = 57

    18x + 5x = 57 + 12

    23x=69

    x = 69 divided 23 = 3

    x = 3
